Druid

One of the most versatile characters in the game allowing you to play defensive and offensive styles with great effect. Druids are shape shifters taking on animal forms at will for different tasks and objectives. Performing certain roles in groups to a high capability they also have a tree form which sounds quite random but I’ll explain it later. As a bear your role is to be a tank in groups you take aggro (aggression) off all the other characters allowing them to perform their own unique rolls. Cat form you become a rogue doing dps (damage per second) stunning mobs also very high melee damage and useful for pvp combat. Moonkin form allows you to be a caster with magic doing spell damage with unique spells for trapping an enemy. Which leaves us with the tree form using earths power to heal others all in all this is a great class for beginners to the game. Unlike other classes in the game which are mainly picked for their primary skill, so if you wanted another style of play you would have to create a whole new character, the druid just changes their style.

Mage

Casting magic using fire, frost and arcane spells with ease. Able to conjure up food, water, for yourself and others. Teleporting around the world to distant lands in a blink of an eye and if you’re willing enough for others too. Partying up damage is key for you but be careful with little armour an opponent to close can spell disaster.

Priest

Healers to their faith can mend almost any wound shield your friends from harm, if all fails resurrect them back to life. They can also deal out damage of shadow and holy light making them a sought after race. You will be in demand from friends other players in the game to go in groups to keep everyone alive and is the key person to have in any dungeon/raid.

Shaman

Spiritually rooted to nature will act as guides to their people can commune with the forces of nature. Calling forth totems to heal, attack others, giving protection to you and your friends. Is an amazing support class for groups as you can attack, heal others within seconds and you’ll often be called upon to go in dungeons/raids as the second healer, tank or another dps dealer of the group.

Warlocks

If your wanting to use a class that uses magic to a dramatic effect, in groups if played well will be at the top of the damage meter. Able to summon a demon pet to do your bidding for attack, defence and adding bonuses for your friends in groups. You’ll have fun with the different types of demons under your control , you also have the ability to enslave other demons in the game which can lead to interesting and sometimes hilarious effect. Warlocks curses do damage over time with other effects too, at the end of some spells they will do extra damage to an impressive effect. You will deal out fire, shadow damage crowd controlling spells striking fear into the heart of your enemy. Be aware now if you plan to play with groups people will be asking you to summon them all the time to the dungeon/raid, but it’s not all bad makes you feel needed.

Hunter

Hunters are unparalleled marksman their bread and butter weapons are a gun or bow. Able to snare targets with ease track hidden foes or a certain race. They have a kinship with animals which allows you to befriend them so they become your best friend and your personal body guard. In a party your job is to deal damage a true hunter can take the lead in the dps scale.

Rogue

The rogue is a true assassin built around the ancient ways of the ninja using their techniques and myths that have surrounded them and passed on down the generations. In pvp (person vs. person) arenas their power is unquestioned. The ability to vanish from sight sneak up on your enemies stun them cause massive damage, fade back into the shadows from sight makes them highly sought after by many players. In groups can be quite effective stunning mobs, dealing out damage, opening locked chests sharing out the extra loot and the ability to detect traps which then can be disabled.

Death knight

Wows first hero class unlike any other character in the game, when you start off you have good armour and spells to wreak devastation. You’ll be pleased as you characters life commences at level 65 no grinding through all the lower levels a unique zone to begin your questing. A completely new style to immerse yourself in all new ability to forge weapons to benefit your character. If that doesn’t sound enough at your command you have a pet to destroy others so your definitely a very powerful character class and a enjoyable one at that.

Paladin

Protectors of the holy light will unleash their judgement on enemies fight with melee weapons e.g. swords, maces, axes, pole arms, single handed and two handed weapons. Unlike a warrior can cast spells able to heal themselves and others alike. When in great need can cast spells that will protect the paladin and friends from harm. Another sought after skill with the class is to cast buff spells to strengthen characters, also can resurrect allies. You will be built to last most encounters wearing plate the strongest armour in the game when a paladin arrives on the scene the field takes notice.

Warrior

The fury of a warrior is unmatched in the game will bulldoze a path straight to the enemy taking on multiple enemies. You will be in constant demand for groups as you make the perfect tank, able to strengthen yourself while reducing the enemies attack power. Able to stun, cripple others left in your wake with high health points and plate mail you can take an unprecedented amount of damage. A tank is one of the most called upon and sought after roles in wow you do good melee damage can use one handed and two handed weapons. For extra protection you can carry a shield which also enables you to use extra ability options which the shield can only provide.
